Nicole is a digital knitwear designer, design researcher, fashion/costumer designer, and stylist. She specializes in complex construction digitally fabricated knits with a body conscious silhouette and intricate surface embellishment, utilizing advanced techniques in 3D printing, laser cutting, Shima Seiki knitting, and tambour embroidery. Nicole has designed for Free People, Anthropologie, Petulia's Folly, Matthew Izzo, Vagabond, Knitcircus, Creative Knitting, Universal Yarns, Made in America Yarns, and came in First Runner Up in the 2013 Vogue Knitting Design Contest in conjunction with Zealana. She is author of the " Choose it and Use it" article series, published by Knitcircus. Nicole also works as a knitwear design consultant and developer. Nicole has worked as a designer, backstage and onstage at various fashion shows, including Prabal Gurung NYFW SS2018, JMMParis floating catwalk show on the Seine River in Paris, France, Vogue Knitting Live Fashion shows in New York City and Chicago, and Sassy 17 Fashion Benefit in Philadelphia. In addition, Nicole's graduate thesis work "Knit Evolution in Digital Couture" was recognized this year as the "Most Original and Creative Graduate Research" at Drexel University.
