Nicole is a digital knitwear designer, design researcher, fashion designer, costumer and stylist. She specializes in complex construction digitally fabricated knits with a body conscious silhouette and intricate surface embellishment, utilizing advanced and emergent techniques in 3D printing, laser cutting, Shima Seiki knitting, and tambour embroidery. Nicole recently showed her debut collection, "Lit From Within" at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Russia, as part of the avant-garde Contrefashion. Nicole has designed for Free People, Anthropologie, Petulia's Folly, Matthew Izzo, Vagabond, Knitcircus, Creative Knitting, Universal Yarns, Made in America Yarns, and came in First Runner Up in the 2013 Vogue Knitting Design Contest in conjunction with Zealana. She is author of the " Choose it and Use it" article series, published by Knitcircus. Nicole also works as a knitwear design consultant, product designer and concept developer. Nicole has worked as a designer, backstage and onstage at various fashion shows, including Victorias Secret Fashion Show 2018, Prabal Gurung NYFW SS2018, JMMParis floating catwalk show on the Seine River in Paris, France, Vogue Knitting Live Fashion shows New York City/Chicago, Libertae Benefit and Sassy 17 Fashion Benefit in Philadelphia. Nicole holds a Masters in Science in Design Research and Master of Sciences in Fashion from Drexel University, and a BFA in Fine Arts from University of the Arts. In addition, Nicole's graduate thesis work "Knit Evolution in Digital Couture" was recognized this year as the "Most Original and Creative Graduate Research" at Drexel University. She is currently a Knitwear and Design Research Consultant, and Adjunct Professor at Drexel University.
